TimeClockOne Web Questions

Is TimeClockOne (TCO) Web secure?
Yes. TCO Web uses the same web security system that banks and brokerages use. Also, TCO Web allows you to assign security roles to your employees.  These roles allow or deny permission for functionality within the application.

How can I know who and when configuration changes were made to my company or employees?
Secure access is great, but sometimes even the right people can make the wrong changes.  TCO supports a complete audit log that allows you to see who made what changes and when.

Can anybody access my company information?
No. When you set up your company, you establish a company administrator that has power over all your setup information. Only that administrator and the TCO support administrator can access your company information.

If I use software time clocks, how can I know where my employee was when he punched?
Since software time clocks can be used from anywhere at anytime, we include the specific Internet address where the clock is located when it submits punches.  If a computer is within your network, you will recognize the address.  Also, the web-clock allows you to limit the computers that are allowed to punch on it.  This makes it so that the web clock can only be accessed from computers within your company's network.

How will my company data be separated from other organizations?
All your company information is stored in its own database.  There are NO data requests that go across databases.  When you log in to TCO, the proper database is selected and the application uses only that database.

What does TCO do with the email addresses that I tell it?
At TCO, we hate junk email as much as you do.  We do not share ANY contact information with ANY outside organization. We only use email addresses to send the system notifications that you request.

What measures does TCO take to backup and secure my data?
The TCO Web Server uses data redundancy and automatic failover in case of problems.  The server is housed in a climate- controlled, secure enviroment with high speed, highly available internet connectivity.  Your organization databases are backed up on a regular schedule.

Will TCO be able to handle the growth of my business?
Yes.  TCO is designed and built for small to medium businesses, but there are really no limits on the size of your organization.

What if I change my mind and want to use the TCO enterprise version?
Great!  TCO Enterprise uses the same database structure.  We'll help you transfer your data and you won't lose anything that you established in TCO Web.

What if my network goes down, will employees still be able to punch in?
Absolute security for your employee's time punches is one of the central pillars on which TCO is built.  All of our time clocks support punch caching (the only exception being the web clock), meaning they are held on the clock until they are confirmed to have been transferred to the server.

Can I try TCO Web and see if it works for my company?
Yes.  TCO Web lets you enroll your company for a free 45-day trial period.  At the end of that time, should you decide to keep using TCO, simply provide your payment information.  All your configuration and employees continue to function. You don't have to re-enter anything.

What impact does TCO Web have on my carbon footprint?
Electronic time cards save paper which comes from trees.  This leaves more trees in the wild where they can absorb greenhouse gasses. Also, since TCO Web runs on centralized servers, you are sharing those servers with other organizations and saving energy costs by not hosting your own servers.
